YAY!!! Finally!

Tyler's finally done with this semester and finals! This has been such a long, busy, and crazy year in the Junior Core and we're very excited that it's over. Tyler's worked so hard and I'm very proud of him. He'll start working full time, as well, for the summer. And now we're just looking forward to moving and hopefully the MACC! Hurray!

Oooh, this is another one of those onion things, isn't it? (Name the movie...)

So I was hesitant on putting up this picture of me , because it's not the best, but I thought it was funny. Tyler was sautéing onions and it made my eyes water so bad! It was probably one of the worst reactions I've ever had to onions.
Little known fact (or maybe widely known, but interesting nonetheless) we saw on the history channel: When you slice through an onion, in short, a gas is released. The gas reaches your eyes and reacts with the water that keeps them moist. This produces a mild sulfuric acid, which irritates the eyes. So the brain reacts by telling your tear ducts to produce more water to dilute the irritating acid so the eyes are protected. And this is why your eyes tear up when an onion is cut.

Spring is in the air...

Well at least allergy season is, in our house. Tyler and I have been experiencing sneezing, sore throats, coughing, and itchy, watery eyes (amongst other symptoms) nonstop. I can't tell you how much we're enjoying it!...because we're not. How we long for spring and warmer weather to come, beautiful flowers in bloom, and no more school! We're being teased with this weather. Nice one day, rain and snow the next. (yes...everyone in the Provo area, there's a chance of rain/snow tomorrow...blast!) I guess good things come to those who wait...(does that mean I must wait patiently?) If that's true then I'm expecting a really great summer.
