Natalie, you're right the alternative is not good, in fact it's really bad, but that's what we called it growing up. Of course we weren't leaving cookies or nice things we were just ringing and running...oh and laughing.

I hadn't heard of ding dong ditch (or another alternative) until I moved to Utah. I thought that maybe it's a Western US thing to say doorbell ditch, but Rebecca... aren't you from WA?... maybe I'm totally off.
