So Easter weekend was a lot of fun. Tyler spent Saturday up in Park City for EYxtreme hosted by one of the top accounting firms and I went up later to eat dinner with the everyone. Tyler has pictures on his camera that he'll post and tell you all about it later. On Sunday, we went to my brother's house for dinner right after church. It was so fun to hang out with my cousins and my brother's family. My 3 year old niece, Jane, probably doesn't remember Easter from last year so she was trying to understand everything about the holiday. It was really cute. I decided to make an Easter egg cake and I think it turned out very yummy.

Fastest fingers in the west....?

53 words

So, I know I don't have the fastest fingers in the west, (as my friend Lissa got a score of 103 words per minute....is that even possible?!! I was impressed) but I thought this was a fun test, nonetheless. Plus I hear all the cool people are taking it.

Memory Lane

Feickert Park...it looks SO different now.

Joyschool... those from the Elk Grove Stake might recognize some faces

20 years ago: I was three. My family was (and mostly still are) living in Elk Grove, CA. We moved into the house my parents still live in. I started Joy School (preschool) with a lot of other children in our church.

10 years ago: I was 13 and was starting 8th grade. I met a great friend, Sarah James (now Sarah Pierce), and we’ve been best friends since. We’ve been through so much together.

5 years ago: I had just graduated from high school. I stayed at home for a year (before I was talked into moving to Provo) staying busy going to school, teaching gymnastics and dance, and working for an independent company, Coolstuffvideos.com

2 years ago: Tyler and I got engaged February 2006, after dating for 8 months. I am really glad I was talked into moving to Provo. We met because Tyler was my roommates’ Home Teacher. We got to know each other better when my cousin was interested in Tyler and kept inviting him over to play games and such. Tyler and I started dating though, and we got married in the Oakland, CA Temple on June 30th 2006.

Soaking up the sun

Last Year: Tyler and I got a second car, which made things really convenient. Though I enjoyed riding my bike to and from work in the summer, it was nice to have a car in the winter. Tyler was accepted into the Accounting Program at BYU which was such a relief. It’s so nice to know our future is heading in a good direction.

So far this year: I got a new job working full-time at The UPS Store…that’s pretty much it besides Tyler’s crazy studying hours…but I guess that was happening last year too.

Yesterday: We paid off the credit card (from my wisdom teeth…blah) only to put $2000-ish back on it for school. (Our goal is to pay it off in a month and a half because we want to buy trikes this summer (so much fun!!) or new laptops…which would be a more grownup thing to do….)

Today: I woke up at quarter to 8 and went to work. I spent my lunch break at the ring shop to have my wedding ring inspected and cleaned for it’s bi-annual inspection. Fun fun. Then I went to the Dollar Tree and spent lots of money on Easter stuff. I thought I was going to get off work at like 1 or 2, but didn’t leave until 5:30. I was planning on making a great meal for Tyler and I, but ran out of time so we went to Taco Bell instead!

Tomorrow: Will, most likely, be pretty much the same ol'. I’ll work for 9 hours, Tyler actually has the day off school because he’s taking tests this week, so he’ll go into work at 8:30 instead of noon and work until 6 and then come home and study til the wee hours of the night.

This year: Who knows! I think we’ll have even more direction in our life. Tyler will find out if he got into the Masters Program at BYU or if we’ll need to move to do an internship. Lots of changes will occur. Plus we’ll be spending Christmas in CA, which I’m very excited about…as long as I don’t get sick like I always do when I’m home.

I tag my friend Kendra and anyone else who wants to do it.

So it's Tyler's birthday today, March 4 (the most moving day of the year) and he's 25 year's old. We wont be doing anything special until the weekend because he'll be studying all night. In honor of his birthday I wanted to fill this out about him.

What is his name? Tyler Pearson
How long have you been together? going on 3 years, but this June we'll be married for 2 years
How long did you date? well we got engaged like 8 months into, but by the time we were married it was a year
How old is he? 25
Who eats more? definitely Tyler... he likes to prove it with his personal eating contests
Who said i love you first? Haha...me. That's an interesting story. Come to find out we had both been wanting to say it for a long time, but we didn't have the guts. We were laying on the love sack falling asleep. I couldn't take it anymore so I decided I was gonna say it then and not back down for the millionth time. So I felt Tyler move and I stole my chance. He was mostly asleep and said, "What?" and I had to repeat myself. So then I freaked out and kissed him while he was trying to say it back so all I hear is a very mumbled I love you. Later that night, when we were saying goodbye, the same exact thing happened. I said it again and then kissed him before he had the chance to get his words out.
Who is taller? Tyler
Who can sing better? probably me, but that doesn't keep him from singing... and I always love hearing it
Who is smarter? Tyler...
Who does the laundry? Mostly me, but Tyler helps out sometimes too
Who pays the bills? Tyler... he's very good at it.
Who sleeps on the right side? If you're laying in the bed, Tyler does
Who mows the lawn? we don't have a lawn, but Tyler's the one who takes care of the plants we do have
Who cooks dinner? Tyler and I have different schedules, so we usually cook our own things and eat at different times. When we're together, we still usually get our own meals because that's what we're used to, or Tyler will make us both something. I'll cook sometimes, but rarely. That's going to change once we have kids.
Who drives? Tyler, in both cars
Who is more stubborn? that's a good question. We're both stubborn in different ways
Who kissed who first? Tyler kissed me first
Who asked who out first? Tyler asked me out first. Actually for the first couple or few dates he was asking me out and I didn't realize they were actually dates at first.
Who proposed? Tyler... I really wasn't expecting it and I had a dream the night before that made a good transition into the proposal
Who has more friends? I'm not sure...probably about the same. A lot of our friends are each other's friends now too
Who is more sensitive? oh my... definitely me.
Who has more siblings? me...2 brothers 3 sisters (3 of them married) and Tyler has 2 brothers and 1 sister
Who wears the pants? Probably Tyler. Though, we both have our say on things and we'll listen to each other
