What's Cooking?

I started a blog called What's Cooking?
Basically this blog is a place where we can share fun/easy/favorite recipes with each other!

If you're interested, I can add you as an author to the blog (just with your email address) where you can add recipes freely...just let me know. Or if you just want to share a recipe, but don't want to be an author, you can email it to me too and I can post it. Also anyone can view or comment anytime.

Thankful Thursdays

So I totally forgot I told myself I was going to do this. I got the idea from Andrea's blog and I thought it was great, if only just for my benefit.

I want to take time on Thursdays to mention something I'm thankful for. I think I tend to take many things in my life for granted. By looking at the world a little differently and stopping to smell the roses, I hope I notice and realize how much I have to be grateful for.
I also like the idea on Jaime's blog to start Memory Lane Mondays. (That is if I remember.)

I'm thankful for so many things, but today I am especially thankful for:
  • Having all 5 senses
  • My cell phone
  • Others' talents that are shared with me
  • A Great work environment
  • The knowledge that I'm loved for who I am
  • Makeup
Life's treasures are the small pleasures

Nifty Nineties!

So I got an email entitled, "You know you're a 90's kid if..." We've practically all received those emails before (multiple times). If you haven't, or want to jog your memory, visit this link for an example. I thought it would be fun to make up our own... to hear what you specifically remember from the nineties, the good ol' years. A lot of participation would be fabulous and you can write as many memories as you want (even if you haven't posted a comment on my blog before). I know I'm a nerd, but life might be a little boring for me if I wasn't.
I'll get it started.

I remember...

*tying my barbie car to my bike with some yarn and letting my ninja turtles take a "joy ride" as I whipped down the street on my bike.

*wanting a Chiapet to take care of and Quick'n Brite... and all because of those fantastic infomercials

*staying outside late with the neighbors playing Ghost in the Graveyard and Freeze Tag

Cabin Fever

This last weekend a group of us went to our friend Lissa's parent's cabin just past Heber. It was a lot of fun with a lot of fun and silly people (as you can see in the picture above. ) We surprised Joseph with a 30th Bday party, played pool, Animal, foosball, games, ate a lot of food and just chilled staying up late into the night. Here are some pictures and videos of the adventure.

Kendra, Anslin, and Joseph, shortly after we surprised him

Anslin and Matt

We got there Friday night and Severin and Lissa were in charge of dinner, so the rest of us went down stairs to play some pool.

Tyler and his mad skills

The girls, minus Lissa

A preview of the game Animal. So much fun!

Tyler was being goofy and wouldn't smile for any pictures I took that weekend.

Kendra, the reigning champ!....until the next video

Kendra finally lost a round and had to act like a horse.
She knew I was filming and tried to do it as quick as possible.

(sorry the recording job was so horrible)
We ate dinner and then sang to Joseph.
I loved his reaction after our beautifully sung Happy Birthday!

In the morning a few of us played Foosball. Kendra and Joseph

Scrapblog

So I was looking through pictures on my computer and came across quite a few of me and Tyler. Memories came flooding back and I realized that we've been through so much together! I compiled a few pictures we have into a slideshow. I made this slideshow on Scrapblog. It's an awesome site! I highly recommend you check it out if you're into scrapbooking. Way cool.
