flowers and bows

So I've been talking to a few people about getting together and working on these ------------------------------>

If you're in the Provo area and would like to get together to make them, what would be some ideas of good times to meet?                                                click picture to enlarge

They're super easy and fun!!
And really not expensive.  We could also all pitch in money to save on clips and flowers, so we're not all buying a bunch of supplies.

Let me know what works for you, if you're interested.

  1. Wish I was in Provo, or that I had a girl. Sounds like fun!

  2. Love love love! I know I'm not there to help make them, but I would love to get some of the feather ones!

How are you? I hope things are going well!

  3. I'd be interested! But you don't have to put on a bow making party just for me. They are so cute!! If you do it though, email me and I'd be happy to come if I can. maralar@hotmail.com

ps And I think pitching in money is a great idea, because the hard part for me is knowing where to get all of the supplies from.

  4. Emily, I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your camera post. We have a Nikon d40 and it was about $500. I don't have much experience with cheaper cameras. We had an olympus point and shoot, which was ok not the best indoor though. We used it outdoors mostly because it was waterproof. I have heard and seen some good pictures taken with the sony cybershot DSC-H20. You could check out that one. I think it's a little over 200. Good luck finding a camera, it's a hard choice. I will say that if you do get a more expensive DSLR (like the nikon d40 or Cannon Rebel) you wont get better pictures if you only shoot on auto. You have to read and learn about it and expereiment with different settings. So don't waste money on it unless you really want to dive in and learn about photography. I think it's a continual learning process, I'm always finding new things to work on. Anyways, hope this helps. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. :)

  6. Yay- Count me in for sure!! And you have you made headbands out of knee-highs? I've heard about those and they seem so easy!! I only have 5 days of work left so then I'm more open during the day or still in the evening- whenever is best.
